Geographical Coverage

Our signal coverage extends upto and beyond 60 kms radius around Guwahati, which cover districts of Kamrup (Metropolitan), Kamrup (Rural), Darrang, Morigaon, Nalbari, parts of Baksa, Udalguri, Barpeta, Goalpara, Nagaon districts in Assam as well as Ribboi District of Meghalaya and Samdrup Jongkhar in Bhutan. Estimated population in the coverage area as per census 1 more than 70 lacs.

Background

In 2005, when the Ministry of I&B, Government of India, formally announced bidding of FM frequencies across 91 cities Purvy Broadcasts Pvt. Ltd. (PBPL) won the license to operationalise a PM channel in Guwahati by the name of "Gup-Shup 94.3 FM".

Activities

"Gup-shup 94.3 FM" is a tribute to the music and film industry of Assam. We have a strong relationship with the music & film fraternity and would like to build upon this relationship to provide innovative radio content. We also have a significant presence in Out-of-home .Media (Outdoor Hoardings), Event properties and Print & Electronic Media tie-ups. Our tie-up with Radio Mirchi, the leading FM Radio player with a national footprint to exclusively provide Business assistance, empowers us with superior sales capabilities. We are well prepared and well positioned to meet the competition and increase our market share in the media sector to a leadership position.
